Percy Griffin, Ph.D., is the Director, Scientific Engagement for the Alzheimer’s Association, where he leads efforts to accelerate the organization’s scientific agenda through the creation and delivery of ongoing research education. He engages with more than 75 Association chapters across the country, informing staff and the public of scientific initiatives and the organization’s crucial role in advancing research to improve the lives of all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Teri Skoog
Skoog Dementia Support LLC
Teri Skoog is the founder and owner of Skoog Dementia Support LLC. She has over 30 years’ experience providing support and care to individuals experiencing dementia along with their family and caregivers. Teri received her BA in Social Work and Aging Studies from the University of Iowa. She is a DAWN Dementia Care Specialist and DAWN Trainer. Teri also personally experienced the role of caregiver for her mother who lived and died with Diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Vascular Dementia.
Rhonda Halterman
LivWell Seniors
Rhonda Halterman established LivWell Seniors in 2012 after experiencing the difficulties and stress that comes with having to identify and select appropriate eldercare solutions for a loved one. As she navigated through the myriad of unexpected challenges, questions, and potential options, Rhonda recognized the need for a knowledgeable and trusted advocate. She and her team have over 40 years of industry experience, helping hundreds of families identify the right options for their unique circumstances.
Meredith Mercer
Senior Star
Meredith Mercer will be presenting Senior Star’s Signature Program, Laughter Yoga. Meredith has been with Senior Star for over 9 years. She’s currently Senior Star’s Program Director. Meredith received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration & Public Relations and Marketing with a minor in Organizational Leadership from Ashford University. She’s a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher & Certified Laughter Yoga Trainer. Meredith enjoys exploring the Quad Cities with her husband, Matt, and one year old son, John.
